State Senator Brian W. Jones (R-Santee) today announced that Marc Schaefer has joined Team Jones as a District Representative working out of his El Cajon District Office.
“Marc has many years of experience serving East and North County residents, families, and businesses,” said Senator Brian W. Jones. “His knowledge, hard work and contacts throughout the region will help us continue providing top-notch constituent service here and high quality representation in the State Capitol.”
Schaefer is filling a vacant District Representative position whose duties have been performed by other members of Team Jones over the last few months.
“Senator Jones is well known for his commitment to helping his constituents battle the bureaucracy in Sacramento,” said Marc Schaefer. “I am proud to be able to join his team and look forward to assisting however I can in his representation of East and North San Diego County.”
Schaefer recently worked as the Community Outreach Director for San Diego County Supervisor Joel Anderson and over the last twenty years previously worked for San Diego City Councilmembers Lorie Zapf and Mark Kersey, Chula Vista City Councilmember John McCann, Congressman Brian Bilbray and Assemblymember Charlene Zettel. He also previously served as a Project Director for Able-Disabled Advocacy where he worked on the “San Diego Forward, Regional Plan 2050.” Schaefer graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Geography.
